- School InfoIntroduction Cedar Ridge Elementary School opened its doors in August of 1997. Since that time we have consistently provided an excellent learning environment for our students. In addition to teaching the state core, our emphasis this year has been on promoting excellent citizenship. We have focused on character development and patriotism. Our character development traits for the year are: August/September – Respect October – Responsibility November – Honor December – Compassion January – Fairness February – Courage March – Integrity April – Perseverance May – Service For an Eagle Project, a local Boy Scout is building the frame for our patriotic timeline display. Money from our fundraiser will be used to create a display that we hope will instill an increased sense of patriotism for all who enter our school. We hope this display will be completed by the end of February. Demographics We currently have 994 students enrolled in regular classes at Cedar Ridge Elementary School. Our student-to-teacher ratio for these students is 29.5 to one. We also have a Life Skills class with one teacher and ten students. PTA Math Contest
Parents, please encourage your child to gain a greater love for math. We would like each student to challenge himself or herself to become better at math. Please use this form to submit your child’s daily math totals.
Here are the rules:
*Only one entry per student per day will be counted.
*Minutes are submitted in 20 minute increments with a maximum of 300 minutes per day. Math minutes counted toward the contest must occur outside of school hours.
*There are prizes for the top classes, and the top students–The top two winners in each class to go Pizza Pie Cafe for lunch!
*Prizes will be awarded to students who complete Bingo cards.
*Minutes must be submitted on the school’s website to count. A paper form is available in the front office for families without Internet access. The deadline for submitting minutes is 11:59pm on October 31st.
